FFF 2020: Call for Entries & POW Film Award

Aktualisiert: 13. Mai 2020

There is a lot of brand-new stuff happening at the Freeride Filmfestival 2020. For the 11th edition we will step up from 12 to 30 screenings, touring through 30 theaters and venues in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. This makes the FFF the largest festival of it’s kind worldwide and reach an audience of up to 10,000 spectators. Due to Covid-19 we might have to adapt our plan, but until notice we will stick to our original one. Anyway, we have already opened our doors for the 2020 film entries. If you are an independent filmmaker and have produced a freeride skiing and/or snowboarding movie, let us know by June 30, 2020 the latest. We are covering all different types of genres like adventure, expedition, portrait, comedy, fiction and art. All the information for the submission process you can find here.

POW Film Award For the FFF 2020 edition we are also cooperating with Protect our Winters Europe on a POW-branded award, calling for freeride film content with clear climate advocacy and climate action content. Films for this award will be filtered out of all FFF submissions. The winner will be awarded with € 1000 and the "FFF+POW Film Award Laurel".

Special criteria are for example clear climate related content in the spirit of POW, i.e. engaging, inclusive and without pointing fingers; only manpowered transport allowed in nature; freeriding has to play a major role in the film ...

Only via FilmFreeway 2020 is the first year the Freeride Filmfestival accepts entries exclusively on FilmFreeway, the world's #1 way to enter film festivals and creative contests.
